Total Commerce sits at an interesting intersection — multi-model commerce on Shopify means rich, structured data about products, customers, inventory, and lifecycle. There is enormous surface area to apply AI: condition grading from photos, demand forecasting, dynamic pricing, conversational customer support, automated content generation, and more.

You'll be an integral part of the founding team, interacting directly with merchants to understand their needs and rapidly developing features that deliver significant value.

In this role, you will:

  • Own the development and application of LLM-based features end to end
  • Build and maintain evaluation frameworks for prompt iteration and semantic retrieval
  • Optimize embeddings and vector stores for performance and scalability
  • Interact with merchants to understand their problems and design solutions
  • Stay up to date with the latest trends in LLMs and applied AI practice

  • Own our CRM end-to-end — fields, automations, hygiene, deduplication
